Flat screen TV/DVD

I would like to mount as large a TV as possible on the forward salon bulkhead through-bolted to the head side of the bulkhead. Then a mast mounted antenna and DVD either in the TV or preferrably seperately mounted in the Nav stqtion. Has anyone done this? and any suggestions re Max weight.
Any and all thoughts suggestions and experiences will be greatly appreciated.

I mounted a 32" flat screen in the same place using galvanized carriage bolts, 3/8" or 7/16" can't remember. Worked great, have many hours and and some heavy seas with it. This Panasonic model removes quicky and there have been a few times in the gulf that I have just grabbed it real quick and layed on a cushion just to be safe!

Sounds like you would not reccomend this location.
?How large is your screen? I wonder if a large enough screen would overcome the location limitations??

I put a swivel mount on the bulkhead of my 27' Pearson so i can move it around and see it from many places. i just use a bungy to secure it when sailing.

There is an article on the C36 website about mouting a flat screen to the bulkhead. In addtion to bolting the TV up, the owner fabricated a frame around the TV to provide a little extra support and give a finished look.

It looked very nice in the photos.
