Placement of yacht's bell

In all seriousness, where is the best location for the standard warning bell. Please no comments regarding locations where the sun doesn't shine. My son and daughter-in-law gave me a bell and I have no found a good location. Boat is a Catalina 27.

Our boat has a fitting to mount the bell below under the companionway, and another on the stern rail to mount it on deck when required in fog.

If it's to be a functional warning device it needs to be outside, but you don't want it outside all the time. It certainly has decorative value when mounted below, esp if kept polished. On a C27 I imagine that on the bulkhead somewhere might do....
