My Cheoy Lee

I bought this 1981 Cheoy Lee from a broker in New Orleans... three weeks before Katrina wiped them out-- I saved this boat!

This is a Bob Perry 44' cutter. I upgraded all of the canvas and brightwork, had a custom full enclosure built, installed a new Raymarine C120, and gave the boat a good shakedown this summer. The teak decks were removed 3 years ago and the surface re-glassed and painted. She's very solid and sails great. This is my first sailboat, and my wife and I feel like we made a good choice. This fall, the genset goes in and the hailing port gets changed to Mandeville, LA.

I am considering buying a classic boat in the States and bring it here....

Just considering...OK?? that would be something cool, or CP's Freedom....also like the Tartan34C yawl.

I am serious now...I am considering buying a good classical design and bring it here, strip it and restore to imaculate condition...to keep for the future.

But again, I have only been thinking about it, and it depends on what the season racing Giulietta is going to cost me....

But...have been looking...she's gonna kill me...

I like the one in the UK, I loved the side companionway!

I think its a very sexy boat and looks really relaxing.

We'll see...it depends on how Giulietta will do in the races..if she gets good results this year, and next year...I'll dedicate Giulietta to the races and buy a second boat to cruise around...as Giulietta will be stripped out inside.

I hope you mean a 24 year old Scotch! Otherwise you may never make it to your next bypass.
