late September on the Bay...

If my beat up little Hurth transmission holds up for it; My best friend Pat and I may be heading for the Bay in Late Sept.

Why I like late Sept and early Oct; The weather is more stable. It's not stifling hot and humid, The prevailing winds start a blowing again (hopefully) Kids are back in school. Water is still warm if one wants to swim.

No plans yet, just starting to think on it. Saint Mikes and Annapolis are always on my list. May try getting farther south if this trip happens.

try and make the Rhode and Wye if you can and skip Annapolis for something different

Sounds great Denise. Our favorite time of year also. We may take a week of to cruise around then.

Try some new places this year instead of Rock hall try the Chester River. Greys Inn Creek ( lots of Bald eagles), Corsica River and also consider the "geese circus" at Cackway on Langford Creek on the Chester River. They start performing about then

Consider the Wye River if you are going to St Mikes. Dividing Creek or Shaw Bay, both on the Wye are great spots.

Rhode and West River are pretty.

Maybe stop on the western shore rivers as the crowds have gone away by then. Magothy and Bodkin Creek are nice places.

thanks! . I've not actually been in RH with my boat. other then one night with my son about 5 years ago when we tied up to the fuel dock and left early.

Denise, stop by and visit with an old man who has a fully stocked bar on the boat and more than willing to bake you one of his custom made cheese cakes. Just close your eyes and dream about enjoying an old man singing Jimmy Buffett's Come Monday to you while you tantalize your taste buds with a Key Lime Cheese Cake and sip on a Green Coconut Margaretta. Not a bad way to spend a September afternoon on the bay.
