Free Concert on Shaw Bay

Nice SW breeze, temps around 76f while enjoying the free concert put on by the East Port Oyster Boys. A perfect setting and location as there about a 100 + boats in here!

Re: Free Concert on Shaw Bay

MorgaNado was there! An EXCELLENT afternoon and evening! Eastport Oyster Boys blasted a GREAT session across the entire anchorage. (The weather was perfect!)

We did not know that this was going to take place, when we planned our Saturday night anchorage -- when we rounded the Wye River Green, and saw all of the masts, around 3:00 pm, we knew something was going to happen, however.

A pleasant surprise. We will be looking for where and when next year's anchorage-session will take place.

Thanks, y'all.

Seven years ago we also had the pleasant surprise in Shaw Bay where a Tuba started a solo and we were kind of scratching our heads and then the rest of the group joined in and it was a magical evening.

You were anchored just beside us this year and I enjoyed seeing you take the dog to the beach. Glad it was a fun time for you.

The Eastport Oyster Boys - Chesapeake Cruisin' Tunes: Schedule

We saw them originally at Shaw Bay as the Crab Alley band back in 2006 where they would they give an 'on-water' concert after the first full moon weekend following Labor Day..this was not advertised..

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/200...chesapeake-bay

..but have changed their name since to The Eastport Oyster Boys

Leslie -- Jimmy enjoyed seeing you two on his way, with Bernie, to the beach. Our friends, Jane and Mick, that you talked with, clued us in to the Oyster Boys. Your boat is very pretty. Hope to see you again. Ray
