Re: 2014 Sailing Season

Got out today for a sail with a buddy on the Severn to the route 50 bridge and back. Fluky fluky winds (0-20+?) and beautiful beautiful temperature. We actually dodged some ice floes on the way out this morning. Saw at least one other sailboat.

Re: 2014 Sailing Season

Good excuse to get to the Bay to check on the boat yesterday with temps in the upper 50's. Saw only one workboat on the creek leading into our marina and no sails on the Bay where visual from Rock Halls swimming beach. Great lunch at the local watering hole over looking a sea of vinyl covered boats in the towns harbour..

Clay - I was also down at Lankford Bay checking on my boat yesterday. Too bad I didn't catch you. I'm itching to start working on spring commissioning but it looks like we have another cold snap coming this week.

Yes..was down around 10am then over to Harbour Shack..they had nice lunch special and wasn't crowded yet. Meandered around town afterwards looking at boats.

We saw you sold your Lippincott..that didn't take long. You keeping your new boat there this season?

Yes we really lucked out and sold the Lippincott within about two weeks of listing! The broker had a buyer who was waiting for one to come on the market. We'll keep the new boat over at Lankford Bay through mid may and hopefully use the first few weekends in May to do some upper Chester cruising. After that we'll bring her back over to Baltimore.

Thanks Shawn! Yup a Bene 40 - a big leap for sure but hopefully something we can grow into and keep for a while. Here are a couple photos to start - I'm sure we'll have lots more once we get out on the water!
