Fiberglass?

Can anyone recommend a place to make and install a fiberglass box mount for our autopilot? Its in an awkward space under the helm seat storage area in the cockpit. So the person needs to be somewhat small in size and not claustrophobic. They guy who was going to do it said he is now too busy.

Re: Fiberglass?

A picture would help to visualize what you need.. There are plenty of pre molded 'pods' available for this kind of thing, but assuming you really need something custom. Must it be built in place? or could it be fabricated and then installed? Which part of the autopilot are we discussing?

Re: Fiberglass?

I don't have a photo at the moment. But this would be to hold the motor inside the cockpit storage locker (under the helm seat). You would have to crawl inside this storage locker to mount the "shelf" which will hold the motor. It is not for the "screen".

It could be manufactured off-site and then installed.

Re: Fiberglass?

By 'Motor' do you mean a linear drive? Would a metal bracket/mount work? Sorry, but more detail will bring out better suggestions. What AP model? Type of drive? etc..
