The creek in Solomons where Spring Cove and the Holiday Inn are is called Back Creek.

I just made this trip. Annapolis to Solomons to Deltaville to Norfolk. We anchored just inside the harbor near the little island at Solomons and in Fishing Bay at Deltaville. We stayed at Tidewater marine in Portsmouth, VA at mile 0.0 of the ICW. Great marina. I highly recommend it.

The Dismal Swamp canal is not closed. It is restricted to two lockings a day at 0900 and 1500. I did not see anything less than 6 feet and for the most part much more than 8 feet. Great trip, met some fun folks from the Catalina Fleet 30 group at the welcome station. We are having great Wx on our run south.
