Too funny. I was at Fairlee on a weekend last year when a raft of no less than 10 40+ cruisers (power) broke their anchor and swung through the anchorage like a freight train. Was the most panic I have seen in a long time. Those Sea Ray gals sure moved when their anchors broke loose. Lucky I was way back and upwind of the the runaway runamock ruffians.

I prefer Whorton, where you can go up inside or stay on the outside, Swan Creek, or even Corsica or Langford on the Chester.

Should I take the lead here and plan this for the second weekend in June? That would be the 14th and 15th. How does that sound to all for the Mini rondevous of the Northern -Central Chesapeake Bay Sailnetters. Swan Creek or even Whorton has more room is probably most central to all. Sapperwhite/ Chuckles is that amenable? Mitch..what do you think. I am sure we will find each other also the Tchef37 before then to meet up. Feel free to PM me also

Dave

I really enjoy outside Worton Creek. If it isn't too late in the season there won't be any nettles. I didn't see them up there until august last season. There are also a lot of bald eagle and osprey that fish the water from the tree line and cliffs to the east. I had an eagle catch a fish about 100 feet away from my boat once, cool sight. The only time outside Worton is very uncomfortable is if the weather is from the south or west, but then you can just duck into the creek and it's calm.

I made a vow to myself never to venture into Fairlee unless it were a matter of life, limb, or eyesight. The Tiki Bar attracts some of Marylands finest.

We also like Wharton...have been there many times and there is plenty of room...especially on the outside for a get together. Lets make it the place then unless the weather is blowing bad...then lets make Swan Creek the secondary site...aiming for June 14 and 15 for a Sailnet Mini- vous

Great idea! We're a bit at the mercy of the Navy for scheduling, but if they don't have a prior claim on Dan's time, we're there too!

If you don't mind one more, I would be interested in joining the group. I sail out of Tolchester so Worton Creek or Swan Creek would work for me.
