Daysailing destinations from Solomons

Where would be a good daysailing destinaiton from Solomons for a leisurly few hours sail, dropping lunch hook and then back (or, if no place to drop a hook - then just a good itinerary).

I am new to Solomons, can always just go east and back but that's not as much fun

Well ...you can go up river to St. Leonards creek which is pretty and not too far away. Most interesting places are more than a day sail away...St. Mary's on the Potomac, reedville, Annapolis are more weekend kind of trips... a day there and a day back. Nice place to sail from though! Enjoy.
