Sound logic. A good family place.

Also, as you may not be aware, coming from New England, July and August is not prime sailing season on the Chesapeake. Traditionally it's hot as heck with no wind, and you can't jump into the water to cool off because it's full of jelly fish. And then an afternoon thunderstorm comes along to beat the crap out of you and your boat.
It is however prime season to sit around the marina pool with a cold one, and then crank up the a/c at night while connected to shore power with hatches closed to keep the mosquitos out. Save the trip to Tangier for the fall when the weather is better and you know the area better. Also, take your chick there, not your buddies. She'll ooh and aw over the quaint fishing town, the accents she can't understand, and the cats at the marina. It's a sure thing.
Take your boys over the beach I told you about. If the wind is good, the bay is right there and you can go sailing. If it's no good you can hit the beach and check out the bikini girls.

I liked it because it was a place I could let my 10-year old daughter explore with no risk of rough people. That is relaxing, for a parent, and fun for a kid. Can't do that at Ocean City.
Carrie Nation doesn't not patrol the docks in Tangier or Smith Island, so just keep the beer in proportion.
