YeeHaw! err, trip to chessy on the 17th!

We should be in CP city on the 18th (may wait for the group from my YC) I want to hit, st michaels, and annapolis for sure. I would love to meet some sailnetters that are on the bay too! I like rock hall but the shallow approach nearly gave me a stroke last time, we approached at night!

The Gods to pray to:
Engine, racor, edson, davyjones,

Anyways.. if my lil boat is in favor of the Gods we (Michele and I) will be on the bay until 25th!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya, and tell the weather goddess to be nice to the O'Day 30 with the two sailors from PA on it. :)

thanks SD!

Denise,

Let us know where you be on the weekend of the 20,21 maybe we could meet you. Rock Hall is an easy in if you take the time to go around the long bar. Consider Whorton Creek, Chester River (especially Langford Ceeek or greys Inn Creek as a spot before going through the narrows to or from St Michaels., Magothy (Eagles Nest), Whitehall Creek....go up to Cantlers if you like Crabs. Let us know where youll be

Dave

thanks C2S! I'll hopefully be able to use my wireless connection laptop on the bay.

Denise,

Rock Hall harbor isn't so bad, plenty of water if you follow the clearly marked channel. It's my home port so if you're visiting RH I'll share some local knowledge. PM me if I can be of assistance.

I'll be looking for you in the mid-bay area. What's your boat's name?

deniseO30 06-03-2009 10:29 PM

Her name is "Keeled Over" Mikey. thanks!

deniseO30 06-16-2009 10:51 AM

My "YeHaw!" is more like a Oh Sheeet

Because of the weather! Dammit! Now, it's not that I can't handle rain but it's not fun by any means. sitting holed up at anchor or parked at a marina can be boring too!

So.. to go or not to go? Someone please ask the weather gods help me out?

Boat is ready.. just need to start loading up food and clothing. Sigh..

Today it's actually chilly. Looking at the national weather forecast is not very encouraging either!

Some of my best sailing on S.F. Bay was in the winter rains. No other boats out, something warm on the stove. It seldom gets cold there, such as in the 30's. Dressed for it, and under the dodger it was bliss.......i2f

Go for it, no severe weather is predicted in the area, just some H2O and possible thunderstorms :)

This is our weekend to do housework, sorry we'll miss you, have a blast.

BTW, you mention St Michaels, Annapolis, don't forget to hit a few peaceful anchorages as well, a Chesapeake specialty.
