Refit Recommendations

Looking for yard recommendation(s) for a somewhat major refit ,ie.,;engine re-power, electrical re-wiring, top side non-skid repaint...

Clay,

You don't mention where you are - so I will guess that "the Chesapeake" is all within reach for your repair.

I have 1st hand experience with 2 yards that have a full compliment of contractors and allow DIY work as well. In the Annapolis/Eastport area try Bert Jabins Yard on Back Ck. Bert Jabin's Yacht Yard - Annapolis, Md 410-268-9667

South of Annapolis at Herrington Harbor try Herrington Harbor North, also a full service yard that accommodates DIY. Herrington Harbour Marinas

I have first hand experience of Jabbins also and they are fine. My place of choice is Habor Haven in Rock Hall however. They get it done on time and their labor rates are almost $40 hour cheaper tha Rock Hall. The craftmanship is also excellent.
