Brrr.

Brrr.

It's not October anymore!

November wind, rain, brr it is cold.

I made the mistake of stepping out with just a rain jacket, no shoes, and shorts on, that was a really big mistake!

This little storm started out with some rather warm air but it sure isn't warm now.

The buoy at Stingray is showing 25+ knot winds. The NWS is predicting wind gusts 50+ and 1+ inch of rain today. Yikes. I guess Summer is finally over. Sure was nice sailing this past weekend though.

Thomas Point Light is peaking at 41 knots right now, and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel at 55 knots. Eeek.

Too windy for me! I sailed my catamaran around in the basement of our new house while I pumped out the bilge this morning.

It's supposed to be sunny and 70 on Sunday. Maybe I'll take my boat back out on the bay then.

Looks like we will be looking for a bonus weekend this weekend. Planning on heading over to Swan Creek for Saturday evening anchorage and making smores on the grill.

Finally made it out to the boat. I had my fingers crossed that there would be no major damage. We had a lot of wind and rain inland and I expected Deltaville would be a mess. Not so. I didn't see any damage on the drive out, and the marina and the boat were fine. Power was out on the dock, but they've fixed that. And the only real damage to the boat was a torn bimini. No big deal. It was old and it's probably time for a new one anyway.

Now I'm just bummed that the weather won't be nice for a sail tomorrow.

Stayed in the marina on Saturda as it was just grey...got to cash in on a beautiful bonus day today. 70 degrees....12 knots of wind...and flat on the Patapsco...only negative. The damn 16 ft water ski boats trolling and crossing in from of us looking incredulously when we caight their fishing lines.

I was mounting 2 new engines (outboards in wells) on my cat and forgot to hook up one of the lifting lines. So I went for a swim to tie it on.

Yes, I had a wet suit, and it wasn't bad once I was in the water, not bad at all. Easing into the water was a bit cool.
