Sailed into Hampton creek today,the weather forcast looks as if I'll be here couple of days. Hoping the rain at least lets up as it was cold setting a second anchor this afternoon to minimize the swinging.
Anyone know where the laundrymat is? we're anchored near the municipal docks south of the bridge.
At least there is wi-fi !

There isn't one near the municipal docks to my knowledge, but there is one about 2 miles away: 912 West Pembroke Avenue, Hampton, VA. Just make sure you make the trip during daylight hours.

Hey I found it ! it was across the bridge about 1 1/2 miles away you had to buy a card to load w/ money to use in the washers and dryers. ad ofcourse you end up w/ money left on the card . So you loose te extra money as you can only load $1 at a time and the loa are odd amounts ! kind of a racket.
I was lucky as there were other cruisers who gave me an extra card , I hope I can find another cruiser to pass it along to. I thought about leavingit w/ the dockmaster if I can't find someone before I leave.
Hampton was differentthan I expected.Overall a nice place boater friendly .
Free dinghy dock, $1 showers and achorage nearby. not bad.

What marina has the free dinghy dock and dollar showers? We should be up that way andwould like to check out that area.
