We had similar conditions last Tuesday night, and it rocked me to sleep like a baby. However, I did find myself waking up every couple hours to check the anchor, just to be safe.

T37Chef will become famous soon enough
Holy Molly was it hot today! I heard BWI broke a record at 106 degrees and the humidity wasn't helping was it? You guys that got out Friday were lucky ;-)

We didn't do much as I expected, and with the fore casted heat we thought Northward would be better. We spent Saturday at Worton Creek then headed up to Still Pond for Sunday and Monday night (Dave, we should have called, sounds like we passed each other) We enjoyed some good fireworks Saturday, I'm guessing it was Mears on Fairlee Creek? Sunday we took the dingy out to the point and watched all the fireworks around the bay, pretty cool...still nothing beats the ones we saw in Solomons last year. Lots of swimming and beachcombing...fun, but man was it hot...I don't think we have ever left the boat as quickly as we did today LOL.

Sugar...we should rendezvous sometime, and next time you head up to Rockhall area do as chef2sail suggest and head North to Swan Creek, a great anchorage. The only reason to go into Rockhall harbor is to eat crabs at Waterman's ;-) Did you figure out what to do with the cushions?

We called you a few times on the VHF as we passed Worton..between 11 and 12 on Sunday.

Still Pond and Worton are two of my favorite places. We got back to MYC...put the air con on and cooled off. Went out in 15 minute spurts to tidy everything up and pack the car.

Dave and Shaun: Thanks for the tips on Aberdeen Creek in the South River and Swan Creek up by Rock Hall! We will definitely try both.

SVCarolena: As to being rocked to sleep by the 1-2 foot water, well, maybe your boat is bigger than ours and less affected by the wave action? Also, it was our first night on the boat, so it was all new and not sleep conducive.

Shaun, would love to meet up/raft up with you guys. It seems you know all the good kid spots and we need to learn from you! I've enjoyed reading your detailed post (and seeing the pics!) about your recent 2 week trip around the bay. It seems that now that my husband found adn stopped the water that was getting into the cabin the mildew smell is suddenly magically gone (yipee) and now I am on the hook again for sewing new covers. More time in the sun and several sprayings with some natural lime-scented enzyme stuff helped the cushions themselves quite a bit.

Also Dave, are midges jellyfish/sea nettles? We saw one the other day (July 2?) at our marina off the South River, but no more since then anywhere in our travels (up to Rock Hall and up and down the South River).
