Saturday has been marked for a while to take the Mother-In-Law to the airport to catch her broom to visit her sons in Denver, that leaves Sunday, so I am looking forward to that!

This coming weekend

It should be perfect sailing weather on the jersey east coast. I am going to try going out on my own again on Barnegat Bay, but I hope I don't almost kill myself like last week. Is there any experienced sailor out there who owns a DS-16 who can show me how everything is rigged and secured on my boat, when sailing and when docked. I can't offer money, but I am willing to barter. Did I spell that right? I have a small jib sail that needs a corner repaired, luggage racks for a car, etc.

We went out Saturday tacked across to Rock Hall and were headed for an anchorage in either Eagles next or Broad Creek on the Magothy. The weather for Sunday looked iffy so we decided to opt for a little closer to home so we ducked in Bodking and took the middle fork and dropped the hook in Jub Cove. Was a great night there....took a 2 hour dinghy ride around the whole creek. Sunday awakened at 8 AM by a passing shower. We had our usual lox and bagels and Kona and struck out about 11AM. When we got out to the Patapsco it was cloudy, but 18-20 knotss steady from the South so we unrfurled the 155, dropped the centerboard and jib sailed down to the cruise ship and back a couple of times before heading in at about 2:30. Our club was having a crab fest so Donna went up and picked crabs while I took an air conditioned nap. I am spoiled from working in restaurants so long, my idea is a 1 lb container of fresh jumbo. Eating crabs is the only meal you can die from malnutrition while you are eating.

Next weekend she works so Saturday I will just work on the boat. Sunday I am taking a few of my managers out for a day sail.

Dave
