Great. Now, before I jump in for a dip, I have to look out for jellyfish, poop slicks AND sharks. Yeesh.

No, just look out for jellies - if you jump in and there is a shark the poop slick will be there no matter.

The seller kept it at Kinsale Harbor Marina, in Kinsale, VA, on the Yeocomico River.

This sunday, a buddy of mine and I are going to take it on a 2-day cruise down to the marina where I'm going to keep it, Queens Creek Marina, on Queens Creek - which apparently nobody has ever heard of. Queens Creek is just west of Gwynn Island, on the south side of Hills Bay, across from Stove Point Neck. Basically, if you follow Stove Point Neck as if it's a finger pointing, it's pointing almost right at the Queens Creek Inlet.

Can't wait for Sunday! I'm really looking forward to getting familiar with my new (old) sailboat and going on a nice, long sail.

I just looked at the wind forecast, though, and it looks less then optimal, unfortunately. I really don't want to motor all day.

Cool. I do a few races out of kinsale throughout the year. Not a lot down there, I'm sure you noticed.

Is it just me or has the incidence of shark attacks gone up in the last few years in Australia as all sharks over 1.5 meters have been protected.

Oh gosh I have NEVER done that, thanks...

Hey several years ago I was cruising on the Southern bay and we had been to Yorktown and were headed back to West River. We were passing Wolf Trap. It was mid morning and I was sleeping on the fore deck. I was waked up by my wife calling me... she wanted me to get up and come back to the cockpit, it seems there was an 8' shark swimming next to the boat! It was one of those unforgettable movements on The Bay.
