Is the economy improving?

Was checking out some of the marinas..one in particular near Harve de Grace to do some very $$ electronic upgrades$$ tried to negotiate winter storage to be thrown in as part of the deal.. Got a flat "NO".. All I can say times must be economically improving with an answer such as what I received...

same on the lower bay...guy calls me, knows I want to reseal my port lights...offers me his "reduced rate"...get the quote, his hourly rate went up $11 since last year, and since he "wasn't sure what was involved", it would be time and materials..

I said sorry, I will do it in the spring myself and save the 40 hours labor...and I at least know what is involved...
