Good. Janet and I are currently anchored in Round Bay, heading to Rock Hall tomorrow.

I didn't make it to Harness Creek -- too much time helping neighbors on the dock -- so I spent the storm out in Back Creek. One chafed line on the dinghy and my Bullet 2HP DROWNED. It has survived a year of rain storms but wind-driven rain at high speed was too much for it. I'll spend some time working on the new one to beef it up a bit.

Janet's basement flooded when the power failed and her battery back-up system didn't operate. New project to upgrade that. I have a gas generator in my work trailer and we got all the water out as soon as I could get off the boat and to the house. That's all patched up and we are off on our sailing holiday only a few days late.

Rock Hall tomorrow - not sure about after that.

Thanx for asking, Dave. 33-foot boat in a newly rebuilt 50-foot slip = no damage except to our rum supply!

We're staying "in" this weekend to socialize with friends who are coming up for the long weekend - and because there's not much predicted wind - then headed out for a few days cruise next week.

Shameless self-promotion - my blog for the Annapolis Capital newspaper is moving to a new location:

but there are still some glitches to be worked out. Until then, I'm posting at:

Rum

We have put a dent in the Kauai supply of dark rum since arriving here. Donna has discovered MaiTais as an alternative to her Pinot noire.

Glad to here you and Dan are save and sound as well as Dave and Janet. We are curious to see what happened to our community when we get home.

We start the trek home Saturday night at 8 PM arriving at BWI Sunday at 4:45 PM. hopefully we get down to Halekula and take her out if only to remove the slime on Monday.

Dave
