We were thinking about heading down to the Wye for the weekend but now we're seriously considering heading down to the Rhode to take in this fireworks display. Looks like tomorrow will be a motoring day for us either way with the wind out of the south.

Have to inflate dink so the puppy boys can go to the beach.

The fireworks show was outstanding. I rafted up with 3 other boats, and had friends and co-workers aboard mine. I spent all morning scrubbing the cabin, and making the boat clean and hospitable.

I stocked the icebox with a wide assortment of drinks, food and desserts. The new boat was comfy and handled the group well. A great time was had by all.

Glad to hear it was such a good time! We ended up going to Worton Creek on Saturday night (where we happened to meet up with Dave of Auspicious) and then had a great time Sunday beating our way down to Rock Hall in 12-14 knot winds on Sunday. Came back early yesterday AM reaching across from RH in 12-14 again. Turned out to be an awesome sailing weekend all three days.

We'll definitely try to make it down to the Rhode on Labor Day weekend in the future. Interestingly, we saw two fireworks displays distantly from Worton on the western shore. Not sure where they were coming from but at least one of them looked professionally done.
