According to LNM, the fireworks are 3 September:

Mariners are advised that a fireworks display will be held on the Rhode River, near its confluence with Cadle Creek at Mayo, MD,
on Saturday, September 3, 2011 (rain date September 4 or 5, 2011) at 8:30 p.m. Mariners are urged to transit the area with
caution, keep a sharp lookout for other watercraft in the area, and are reminded to heed the directions of patrolling law
enforcement and public safety officials; absent specific guidance, mariners should remain 200 yards from the fireworks discharge
barge in approximate position latitude 38°53’01” N, longitude 076°31’25” W. For any comments or questions, contact Coast

T37Chef and us rafted together at High Bar (sunken island on the Rhode Rive)r last year and were treated to this fireworks display. It lasted over 1 hour and was one of the best town fireworks I have ever seen.

It is privately funded by the locals and those that anchor out to enjoy it. There is usually a donation collection boat that makes the rounds in the afternoon. Help contribute to a great fireworks show by giving 'em $'s.

Sounds like it could be fun but also sounds like it has the potential for being power boat central!
