Bubble....great idea. Is there room for anchoring? Some rafted boats? Dept of the water? Why dont you take one of the weekend dates mentioned above and become the "Captain" for that weekend and lock it in with a reservation so we dont get shut out. June, July, and October are already taken.

Great idea from you. We have our picture (poster size) that Joe gave us from the last photo shoot hung prominantly in our house and I actually brought it to our small get together at the Irish Pub a few weeks ago for those there to see. I am all for another photo shoot. You idea about doing it in July in the Annapolis area/ your marinia sound like a good plan. Donna and I are in

Yes, there is room for anchoring and rafting. Holiday Hills Marina is directly across the cove from me. You could easily swim from the marina to my side of the cove (but I would taxi you over in my Avon).

Depth in the middle of the cove gets down to about 5 feet, during the really, really low tides but between 7 & 9 feet during more normal tidal swings.

Anyone up for kicking off the "last weekend of the month" meetups/raft-ups with another land based dinner on Saturday 2/25? We were thinking Langermann's in Canton would be a good spot. I'm happy to count heads and make a reservation if there's substantial interest.

As I understand it, for private citizen adults, it depends on whether your have a "reasonable expectation of privacy." So, if you're on a stage in front of an audience, or strolling the streets of town in a pirate costume, it could be assumed that you're expecting to attract attention, hence you don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy. In those cases, the publication wouldn't technically need permission, although most reputable ones will make sure you know you're being photographed and they have your okay. The rules are different for example, for a public figure who has been caught in the act of doing something wrong. In that case they call it investigative journalism and put the photo on the front page. Or if you're a little kid (where reputable publications *always* get parental permission.)

If you're a private citizen attending a public event, and you're in the background of a photo or in a crowd shot, obviously it would be unreasonable to get permission from everyone in the photo. Although then, your name wouldn't be in the caption, as Donna's was.

Don't know if I've answered your question, or overcomplicated it. For me personally, the guidance from the Annapolis Capital is to err on the side of caution and get permission except in the obvious cases like the ones above.

Chesapeake February dinner

Not sure if people saw my post above about getting the Chesapeake Bay sailors together to kick off the "last weekend of the month" meetups/raft-ups with another land based dinner. Let's meet on Saturday 2/25 at 6:30 PM at Langermann's in Canton. I'm happy to count heads and make a reservation.
