Tall ships in Inner Harbor for the 200th

Anyone going? I think I'll head down Thursday the 14th to check them out.
Here's the site if anyone else is interested: Star-Spangled Sailabration - June 13-19 - Baltimore, Maryland

Sailing over on the 13th and leaving Baltimore on the 16th. Be aware, due to the airshow there will be a restricted area which will prevent vessels transiting that area (which effectively blocks the Patapsco River) from 1000-1800 or 1100 to 1800 (I've seen both quoted) on the 14th-17th.

Enjoy...MGM

Wonder if I could put in at Sandy Point and catch any of them under sail on their way in earlier in the week?

We plan on sailing to outside the acrobatic box on Saturday to watch the show and then returning to Rock Creek for the night. I also want to sail to just west of the Key Bridge on 6/19 to view the parade of sail as the ships leave. I hoipe to travel to Baltimore by land while the ships are in harbor to see them and the land based activities.\, probably on Monday. Looks to be a great time!

We're planning to go on the weekend. I think we'll try to see the Blue Angeles on one of the days, the other I am hoping to get a tour of the Coast Guard ship and maybe a few others

We're going to intercept the northbound fleet at sunrise on Wednesday south of Annapolis. Spectator boats are encouraged to join the flotilla:

Are you going by sea? Be ware that they will close the river to boat traffic to Inner Harbor at the Fort between 11am and 6pm.

Tall ships in Inner Harbor for the 200th

Thank you all for the replies. Ideally I'd like to launch at Sandy Point and sail with the tall ships for a bit, then drive to Inner Harbor on Thursday or Friday and see them like a tourist. We'll see how that works out with weather and other commitments.

We were leaving town Wednesday night for a biker event in Johnstown PA but we both moved a vacation day back to Tuesday the 19th to sail with the South bound parade a little. We are also considering sailing up to watch the Blue Angels but boat traffic will determine if we actually go. As for going to Baltimore by land forget it, thats just too dangerous.

When would be a good time to see them from the Bay Bridge (Annapolis). I'd put in at Sandy Point. Driving downtown with my father in law on Sunday to tour them on Fathers day.
