Re: Pirates and Wenches Festival, Rock Hall

Addendum: When we "play pirate" for kids parties or whatever, we always step out of character for a moment and remind them that we're PLAYING, that real pirates are bad guys. Then we swing swords and use lots of "arrr"s and "avast me hearty"s ...

Yes I know what some are thinking...it's not the same. But the thinking behind Piracy is the same..

Just my humble 2 cents opinion...

p.s. What's the Somalian translation for Arrrrrr...?
Having met the pirates in question, I can only applaud all their efforts and loved how the children and adults responded to their attire and demeanor. They are wonderful individuals that go to great lengths to entertain everyone. Obviously, there are too many individuals that wish to be "politically correct" in this world of political correctness. I'm just not one of them.

Party on my friends,

Gary

Thanx for the kind words, Gary! Hoping to cross paths with you again sometime soon; do you know where you're spending the winter yet?

Re: Pirates and Wenches Festival, Rock Hall

Not positive about anything at this point, but with any kind of luck I'll be somewhere in Marathon. Just found out that you cannot be a live-aboard in a private marina in the Florida Keys - only a licensed, registered marina. That may put a cramp in my plans, but only as far as the music playing goes. I can't transport my gear in an inflatable without danger of it getting wet.

Hope to see you again in the very near future,

Gary
