Re: A Chesapeake Christmas

Wish we could make it, but we're meeting the newest grandson Sunday. (We told his 2 brothers - ages 3 1/2 & 2 - and their parents they could visit us too. ) They're driving in from Kansas and should be arriving sometime Sun afternoon. Have a great time, and we'll see you all next time.

Re: A Chesapeake Christmas

Final PP brunch head count:
4arch (2); chef2sail (1); chucklesR (2); boz86 (1?); sneuman (1?); Joe and Mary (2); dacap06 (1+1?); brokesailor (2); wingnwing (2) = 14 certain, + 1 maybe. Boz86 and sneuman, are you coming solo?

Had a cute game at our marina PP party that I'm going to try again with this group, in addition to the nautical White Elephant gift exchange that MMR suggested. See you all Sunday at 11:30!

Re: A Chesapeake Christmas

Wish we could make it, but we have 2 other holiday commitments on Sunday. So little time, too many parties....

Happy holidays to all!

I have been absent for a long time here, lots of small changes, but today I went to the Christmas/Holiday Party at Deep Creek and had a wonderful time, It was so good to see so many old friends. Here is the phone picture the waitress shot for us.

Re: A Chesapeake Christmas

Jaye/ Dan,

Thanks again for getting us unruly sailors togther. It was great to make new friends, , see the old old friends ( specially Joe and Mary) and share the commradiere we all have together. Even on Sailnet this Chesapeake group has always been a tight knit one welcomed evryone and had a strong networking group amongst us. We show willingness to meet face to face ( so we gets to see real persons ) as opposed to Internet personas) and support and help each otgher with technical stuff as well as share laughs.

It doesnt happen though is someone like you doesnt step up and do the organization ( we are like herding cats you know as Wade used to put).

Thanks again taking the time to organize. And thanks for the Chanuaka Gelt

We will have some raftups in the Spring hopefully, but try and mark the June 8 date on your calanders for the large 5th Chesapeake Rondevous with the Anything Sailing group at Maryland yacht Club

Dave

Re: A Chesapeake Christmas

@Airborne, we're sorry you didn't see it sooner also - would've been fun to meet more SainNetters.

@Everyone - Thanx for making it a great time! Fun seeing familiar faces and connecting with new ones. Like any "family" we can sometimes squabble find each other infuriating yet under it all, we have a lot in common and under it all a thread of affection and understanding. I'm still waiting for that Lions of the Chesapeake burgee and will fly it proudly!
