Annapolis this weekend - avoid it

This weekend is the NOOD regatta. There will be over 200 one design boats racing between the Bay Bridge and Thomas Point.

Please stay out of the way!

Awww man here we were plotting to sail amongst them

I think we are headed to the Chester River sans wind as the forecast is looking light, but they have been wrong 4 weekends in a row,

Dave,

Last forecast was for good wins Saturday, lighter Sunday. Just don't come through the fleet on starboard while trolling! We will have to run you down!
I'll be on a J30 tomorrow and Sunday, and cruising away from the race fleet Saturday.

I will bet that most of us do an honorable job of steering clear of a race course. However, it makes me try to recall whether there are any rights other than the usual stand-on rules, just because a race dropped buoys in the water.

Jeanneau 54DS

In the harsh marine environment, something is always in need of repair. Margaritas fix everything.

Any decent sailor stays out of the way even if they have rights, but I am not aware of any rule that gives racers any rights.
