If true, this was the marina's choice. Had nothing to do with the Clean Marina Program, which specifically does not prohibit in-water hull cleaning.

If you looked back about 3years you should find, if not deleted, a pm from me showing the written policy of a certain Chesapeake marina explaining that their decision to not allow (commercial) diving services was based on Md.'s Clean Marina previsions...as we had discussed this previously in another similar thread...

The marina may be claiming their policy is based on the Clean Marina Program but the fact remains; the Clean Marina Program does not restrict in-water hull cleaning, nor does it have the authority to do so. Try reading it. It actually suggests best practices for hull cleaning.

Md.'s Clean Marina program aside..a marina can do anything it wants as long as it's within the purvey of the law. I dive on my own boat and fully aware of its best practices..just not in marina(s) that has policy that says no diving...respecting the wishes of theses Md. marinas with these no dive polices...

Of course they can. I'm just trying to rid you of the notion that any marina restricting or banning in-water hull cleaning has anything to do with the Clean Marina Program. It does not.

Then may I suggest you and the Md. marina in question that uses Md. Clean Marina program as an excuse as written in their policy..go butt heads over the program's dos and donts if and when you decide to move your base of operations from your location on the 'Left' coast(San Francisco) to Md. Chesapeake Bay...
