With the standing rigging replaced, and a backup manual bilge pump installed, I feel more confident about trying it now.

I'm considering doing some races that will put me in the southern Bay, then heading out from there.

Last I entered, it was a dogleg entrance - north side along the breakwater to avoid submerged south jetty then cross over to southern side in to shallow bay, then hug eastern bank as you head north toward the bridge...lots of large boat traffic to follow (rare to see a sailboat)...easy peasy...
