Need advice on good anchorages

I'm planning a winter trip south from Boston to Florida. I have found a great wealth of information about good places to duck in overnight and reliable marinas. One part of the leg seems to be void of any good information. South out of Ocean City, I plan a stay in Tom's cove (any thoughts on this?) and from there, I am clueless for the next overnighter on the way to Norfolk. I am sailing a 28' O'Day and will more than likely be single handing. I am not in a huge hurry so lets plan for 45 to 50 miles a day-maximum.

I am open to any advice from those who have done this.

Go to ActiveCaptain.com and you will find lots of up to date information from power and sail captains. Take your time and enjoy a few side trips. It's well worth it.

Wow. Thanks. What a bounty of information. Why didn't I know about this earlier?
