Columbia 28 bimini ideas

We have a Columbia 28 and need a bimini to keep some of the sun off of us.

Any Columbia 28 owners have a bimini installed and can give advice/suggestions on where to find one that fits. Not a lot of room under the boom so I assume our options are limited.

It was mid 90s today and my wife and I felt like we were being broiled in the cockpit this afternoon.

Thanks...

It's always a problem with tiller steered boats because you sit more forward when under way. Then you also have the back stay and end of boom main sheet to deal with. An "off the shelf" Bimini is always cheaper.

I guess we'll check out some of the off the shelf tops. I've seen some approaching $900.00--might have to sail in the dark at those prices.
