new owner Col26 1st series w/ unk mystery rudder

I just took possession today of a Col26 first series, with an inboard, spade rudder from a different boat, rudder post completely glassed in through the cockpit sole, aft of the original rudder post and flange with a thicker, stronger rudder post and aluminum I beamed tiller. The original rudder may still be attached to the keel as I have not dived under to inspect and it hasn't been hoisted yet, but it shall be soon.

Has anyone seen in past, any boats with an extremely, heavy cast aluminum tiller that looks strong enough to pry a truck frame apart. I didn't get measurements....sigh.
This thing looks like an I beam that tapers into a solid alum rod for the handle. It has NO flexibilty.
