Hi All!!!!! i have a problem i just received (yesterday) notification from our ins. carrier that as of end Dec. 06 i will be with out ins. as the carrier they use will no longer do bussiness here in the N.E. for boat our size (37') and yr. Marine Underwriters. we have had no claims and always for 2 yrs. that's how long we've had our boat paid on time ect. we would appreciate any info on good carriers and Phone #s if possible. i called Boats U.S. when we bought our boat and they were $500 more than others. help PLEASE!!!!

Try these guys... they represent lots of different companies and treated me great when I did have a major claim. I used them because so many SSCA members recommended them.

Boat Insurance

I think there are a number of different options for your boat insurance. I know that I would never use that carrier again especially when you upgrade. the problem with most insurers is that they are beholden to their investors rather than their customers! I use United marine Underwriters and have been very happy with them!

Oh - don't shop for cheap insurance. get good coverage. Boat U.S. is probably worth the extra 500 bucks.

Insurance is insurance

Insurance that cost less I am all for. Just read and compare your policy with other insurers. Most insurers use the same format but may differ on things as spill cleanup etc. This can cost you thousands without it added to your policy.
