looking crew Labor Day weekend - Chesapeake Bay

Totally last minute but a friend and I are looking to crew over the weekend on the Chesapeake Bay. Both of us are experienced sailers - him more than me. We had wanted to rent a bareboat but the cost is just insane for two people. We would be willing to provide food and drink (plus, I am a great cook - worked on board a charter for a while)

Is there anyone looking for crew over the weekend or even just on saturday?

Thanks!
Amanda

PalmettoSailor will become famous soon enough
I know this is too late to help, but for future reference, the folks at Fishing Bay Yacht Club in Deltaville, VA actively solicit for crew for their race schedule.

The website is Fishing Bay Yacht Club: Main.

There was a race Saturday up to Urbanna and I know several of the "regulars" (myself included) on the boat I crew on had other commitments for the holiday. There were probably other boats in the same situation.

At any rate the fellow that is in charge of the guest crew program brags they've never left someone at the dock so if you can get down there it's a great opportunity to get some sailing in for the cost of driving down and perhaps some snacks or beverages for the crew.

Good Luck
