I''m looking for some crewing for about 5 weeks, late August/September 05, preferably in European waters.
I have quite a lot of dingy sailing (racing) and a reasonable amount of off-sore cruising in UK waters.
At 57 I''m reasonably fit, reasonably competent at the chart table and on deck, with good safety awareness. I''m usually of a cheerful disposition even when wet, cold, tired and hungry and in rough seas. Never having been sea-sick helps. My cooking under such circumstances has been complemented, but ''wet, warm and welcomed'' would probably be a better description.
A vegetarian (fish and dairy produce OK), non-smoker and temperate drinker - more than happy to sail on a ''dry'' boat (bad experience with an alcoholic skipper).
I''m a self-employed database designer in need of a break and a bit of adventure. All I ask is a competent skipper on a well found boat - preferably in a warm climate.
