Crew Wanted North Carolina to points north 4/23/14 into summer

Looking for crew, experienced or otherwise, leaving Wilmington North Carolina and heading north, 4/23/14. Or join me later further up the coast. 36 foot Pearson sailboat in good condition, experienced captain (Me). Pleasure cruise, time to enjoy the coast, should be fun. Chesapeake Bay by May, Cape Cod by June, Maine by July. Then heading back south. Join me for a few days or a week, or more if we are compatible. I am easy going, like to have a good time, but safety minded. Willing to teach a novice. See my blog for more information - SailingAquinnah.blogspot.com. Happy sailing!

Exactly what I am looking for this summer, if 5-10 days sounds good to you around the first week of July. I have experience sailing Pacific NW coast, mostly day sailing and weekends in my Balboa 21, but have also crewed on a few larger boats (35 & 36') with Washington Yacht Club. I am 48 and looking to get some experience on longer trips and learning from experience. In addition to sailing I can cook, clean, am fit and don't mind hard work and have lived an interesting life so have a few stories to tell. I have a family, am easy to get along with and don't smoke or do drugs. Let me know if you are interested and we can talk more.

John,

We found Maine unnavigable because of the lobster pots, line cutter on the prop almost mandatory. We found Halifax and Nova Scotia to be much nicer cruising grounds.

PadyMac, I will get in touch with you then, or contact me at John Zion 36 at gmail. York sailor, thanks for that. I have been to Maine before and you are correct, the lobster pots are very hazardous and I do have a line cutter. I did find that I pick them up when I was Sailing too, in which case they get caught on the prop. Thank you.
