ORIANA is on a distinguished road
1st mate and companion

Hi, I am 47, living onboard ORIANA a Freya 39 in Bellingham WA. Looking for a sincere and honest 1st mate to weekend sail and one day sail around the world starting 2007 -2012. She is fully loaded with everyting needed for deep blue water.
Fair Winds
Hugh

Talk about long-term planning - very impressive. I can''t plan beyond next week usually. Quick question for you - how do you find living aboard in WA? I''m considering relocating to the Pacific Northwest to do same. Thanks.

HI,
Living onboard during the winter gets cold but I have a Dickerson Heater and it runs 24/7 keeping everything nice and warm. It has a 2 gallon day tank built in so it gets filled once a day.
The rain is not that bad since I enjoy sailing in both sun and rain. Makes me feel at home.

I just want to know who "she is fully loaded" is? the boat, the OP, or the 1st mate?

If the polar ice cap melts it may only take minutes, even on an old shoe.

Lets see....1 - 2 days of sailing at a time to go around the world. Maybe it might take 5 years. How is that possible? Maybe they left early!
