That's actually subsidizing your expenses IMHO... The crew has to pay to get there. They have to pay to get back home. And then they have to pay for their food and their customs fees as well...while not getting paid a dime. Then you want them to split the Bahamas entry charge of $300.00, which you'd have to pay if you brought the boat into the Bahamas by yourself. That's a pretty shitty deal for your crew, since, not only are they paying all their own costs with little benefit to themselves... you're forcing them to subsidize some of your costs. Good luck with that...

I'm just wondering what is in this for the crew?? Aside from the hours logged at sea, I doubt you've got a glowing personality, based on your definition of crew expense sharing. Most people who aren't generous with their money, aren't generous with much else, and if you're going to nickel and dime the crew, because you're just too cheap to cover their customs fees and cost of their food, I seriously doubt they'll enjoy the trip very much.

If we stay at a marina we divide the cost of that also. You are responsible for your own airfare to the key's and from Panama. I provide the the boat the fuel and a great adventure.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
