Would love to learn how to sail! Let me work as crew on your awesome boat?
Hi I'm Dante. a 28 yr old female currently based in Philadelphia.

Would love the opportunity to learn how to sail and crew. I took a few sailing classes, and would love the chance to learn how to sail and learn skills in crewing.

If you got a boat around the NE this summer please let me know if i can come on with your group and learn how to sail.

I welcome places that are close to me, as well as trip that to/from latin america or cross ocean trips! would love an adventure.

when i am not dreaming about sailing, i freelance as a radio journalist who dreams about being in the ocean.

Welcome to Sailnet Dante. That is good advice about getting references.

You are in a great spot. There are over thirty yacht clubs on the Delaware River who are members of the Delaware River Yacht League (DRyL). Some are mostly power boats, some are more sailboats. The best way to crew is to contact the clubs and let them know you are intrested. Most clubs have a racing night during the season where people are looking for crew to help out.

It is a great way to learn....and cheap.

Curtin Marina, Burlington, NJ is home to a yacht club that races on Wednesday (I think). Contact them and ask about which night the club races...AND THAT YOU WANT TO CREW.

You can get there by train using PATCO and then taking the river line to the second stop in Burlington, NJ.

Good luck.
