I would like to crew for the Mac

Hello,

Other than my little cat boat and some time on a 15 ft sloop I am a green horn. I will be getting some time on the lake with someone who has graciously agreed to teach me about handling a large boat for the cost of some elbow grease. If you have any openings I would be very grateful. I am a hard worker will pull my weight. I am a very laid back personality and will have no conflicts with others. I am OK with being the grunt and low man on the totem. I would just like to get the experience. My ultimate goal is to teach inner city Kids to sail and race in the Mac but I figured I better become a good sailor before I even consider going into something like that. Any help you can offer would be great.

Thanks

Gary Daggett

I recently have heard that there is going to be a Super-Mac this year.
The race will start in Chicago and have finish line at the Island, those that will be competing in the Super portion will continue on to Port Huron.

Good luck in your search.
Just make sure you know what you are getting into. Your skipper might be doing the longer course which is about a 600mile race.
