Been kinda hectic so far this year Smack......time I'm sure is going faster as I get older perhaps?

I have been travelling a fair bit with work....and well just tried to sail as much as I could over our summer....
We bought a House, are selling a house and been renovating both of them in the interim....all part of a grand plan that hopefully has freed up a bit of capital and will see us buy our 'go now, go what ever size we can afford' cruising boat in the next few months. All of this has mean't that I have just been taking a little bit of a break from on here, plus I don't know if I have really had much to say of great note to the Sailnet community, unless everyone was interested in firsthand accounts of how not to install plasterboard....

Hey Sailingdog., why are you so against davit getting laid? nothing wrong with that. Don't you think that the females are well aware of this? You speak as if the men were the predators and women the prey. Got news for you buddy., the women are just as predatory as the men are so they're in it for the same reason..

I've got nothing against Davit in specific...just warning women to be careful about meeting strangers that they only know through the internet. Last I checked, men generally weren't the victims of rape or worse.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
