Senior Sailor Seeks Adventure

I''ve wanted for many years to one day own and sail my own cat. I''ve minimal experience, and ask only for the opportunity to learn by assisting as a member of the crew. I am 65, fit and healthy and supposedly retired. A Non-Smoker, no lush, clean, educated, well-read, with major corporate experience. Excellent social skills and manners. In another life I was a Quartermaster/Signalman with navigational and piloting skills. Not looking so much for a job, but the adventure. Have own income and will work very ''cheap'' for right passage with quality crew and/or owners. Looking to join a yacht for leisurely cruise.

Hello tengeresz,

We''ll I''ve no boat for you (yet), but I''m looking to build a sailing partnership that will take me far away from the hinterlands of America.

I''ve been away from sailing for some years. (I''m a fifty-one-year-old middle school teacher, if you can imagine.) So my goal is to return home to the wandering life.

It would be a real adventure if we could help each other.

Hey there tengeresz,
Have you ever wanted to sail on Lake Superior? We have small town ports with natural beauty along our shoreline. I''m looking forward to my second season with Wind Song, a 26'' ChrisCraft 1968 Capitan. Grand Island and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore are nearby. I''m not in the business of hiring crew, but would welcome a sailing visitor.
