So I've got a long range wifi antenna hoisted up the mast and I come in to check how well it's working. And this thread happends to be the current topic.

I have a couple antennas that I'm finally getting around to testing (12db and 9db gain). My PC died and vacation got in the way a bit. I'll have a writeup posted in the not-to-distant future.

(Posting on the 9db now, hitting a wifi a mile away with an absurdly strong signal. Due in part to the marina's antenna, no doubt. I'll have to analyze the other dozens of wifis that I'm hitting to get a relative strength.)

Tahiti sounds great, btw.

Regards,
Brad

Brad, that is awesome. I hope you'll share the "spec" once you get it all perfected.

You're just jealous that tdw is 12 time zones ahead so he saw the crew slot before you. If you had seen the unedited version, you'd be VERY disappointed.

Turns out that ever since they passed Prop 8, Pollard has been trying to pull a few fast-ones. All I can say to the unsuspecting sailor caught with him on the way to Tahiti, is you got one big surprise coming on your wedding night!!

And ask yourself... how long is that trip to Tahiti?? Yikes!!

HEHE!

Brian

Not sure what tdw's excuse is, though. Maybe he was hoping to get the crew slot?
Ok, so you edited the original post, but there's one more reference to a Bravo Juliet lurking several posts upwind of here. See if you can find it.

Hey Cruisingdad,

I was just asking sailingdog on another post if we couldn't eliminate some of these, either really old, or clearly pranks, to help clean up the clutter.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are plenty of guys out there looking for an 18 year old to sail around the world with, but now that we know it was just "one of the guys"...just a thought.

Thanks,
Scott
