Crew Wanted, Share Expenses

Currently lying in the FL Keys, the 55' schooner Irony will soon be in the full fledged charter business. As we finish up the boat, we are seeking guests/crew to share expenses for a week at a time, or longer if desired. Destination and itinerary are open, but for now, and for shakedown purposes, the Keys and the Bahamas will be ideal. Crew will be reponsible for shared expenses during their stay on the boat as well as for their provisions. This is not a working crew post, simply let Irony be your home for a week or more as your feedback helps us formulate the ideal charter concept - a trial run for the boat if you will. We can sail, or just lie on the hook and relax - your choice. We have room for one couple and one single - possibly two couples. Expenses will be approx $300 per day, for the boat - split it among 3 or 4 people if you like. Any port or entry fees would be additional. Don't want to cruise, then it consider her your floating, waterfront hotel in the tropics.

Is your schooner new / re-fit ?
Not so Ironic that some level of effort & shakedown trials may be needed to commission her.
We've (wife & I) been to some great diving spots along Hawk Channel / lower keys -Bahia Honda & south. Do you have an itinerary for Jan/Feb/Mar 2011 ? That is real fun (on a sunny day) to (carefully) drop the hook close to a reef - many spots are protected some have designated mooring areas. Having a familiar safe-harbor is comfy for those few days when those "Alberta Clippers" swoop down into the keys ! Daysailing is best for working out small bugs.

BTW - Please don't feed the sharks , they really seem big without that aquarium wall between you & their habitat ! Pray they glide by as you assume a not-so-chummy sorta non-chalant "local" look in your face mask!

Cheers !
