South America from USA?

I'm planning a South American adventure this year (overland). Here's where the sailing part comes in; i was wondering if anybody here has any trips planned from the US heading in that direction and is willing to take on a passanger. I'm flexible as far as departure date, departure port and the area of South America I would get off.

I don't have any sailing experience. I have been on passanger ships on the ocean before (island hopping in Europe). I'm open to lending a hand as a learning crew member (I can cook). I'm a 28 year old male, in excellent physical shape and I speak fluent spanish(if that matters).

I do have an interest in sailing and besides using this experience as a means of getting to south america for my dream trip, it would also allow me to get my feet wet (pun intended) to see if sailing is something that I want to make a hobby of. Not to mention the carbon output that would be saved from taking a flight. I do have plenty of travel experience, just not at sea. Thanks all. Hope to hear from anyone here.

Cool! And thanks!

I'll even fill her tanks when I bring her home.

Hi, fellow Delawarean here!

I would be very interested in crewing on your trip. I don't have a lot of recent experience and most that I do have is day sailing in the Chesapeake. However, I am a hard worker, dependable, and can get along with most anyone even under demanding situations. I also am pretty handy when it comes to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and engines. If you give me a chance I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Obviously I can furnish references and my resume upon request.

Thanks
Andy
