Actually any Woman that would put up with him or me would be a Treasure...

Holy Cow! A person is looking for a member of the opposite sex to go off on a sailboat with. Shocking!

Let's face it, it ain't easy to find someone. Someone who loves sailing might as well start at the top of the pyramid and work down.

Most women I have dated love the "idea" of sailing. Five days on a 30 ft boat with me and they rethink the definition of paradise.

I guess I should consider myself lucky. I got one who wanted to buy a marina and when that did not work out said we should live on a boat...in MAINE! She even wants to throw off the lines in a few years and explore the world.

And she is a great cook!

These kinds of posts always draw quite a few amusing responses, but have they ever actually worked? Has anyone, in the history of sailnet, ever actually found a companion this way?

I would love to hear from someone...anyone... who actually made or received a serious response to one of these types of posts and hear their story on how it turned out, be it good or bad. There has to be an amusing story somewhere.

no one ever posts a followup.
