Footloose and free at the moment? A friend of mine needs some crew for trip up East Coast to Canada, going both ICW and offshore as needed. He is a sailing instructor and writer for a national magazine. He is currently on East coast of Florida and will be leaving shortly to continue north. Crew can be novice, male, female, old or young. Just be able to steer the boat and stay on course. Since he has no internet at the moment, if interested email me at richard(dot)bur10(at)gmail.com and I will put you in touch.
I just asked him via a text if you could pay some travel. I will get back to you on that. The boat is a Dufour 34 and it well equipped for cruise as the skipper does the Bahamas and Cuba every winter.
If your friend would consider a couple, my wife and I could meet him in Charleston. We are retired and experienced sailors. What is the expected duration of the trip? What is the final destination in Canada? When was the boat built? If he is interested, we should talk.
If crew are still needed, I am in the Baltimore area and would be willing to discuss arrangements. Send me a PM.
thanks,
Al
