Boston Harbor Sailing

I am a member of the Boston Harbor Sailing club. When I take boats out I usually sail their Cal33's or J29's. Older boats but well maintained and decent condition.

I am self employed, so when I see a nice day coming up during the week, I can schuffle my schedule a day or two in advance to sail. But it is not always easy to find crew during the week, and the club won't let memberss take the boats out without at least one crew.

So if anyone is interested please pm me with a little info on yourself and an email so I can contact you. Experience doesn't matter, I just need an extra set of hands. I will share with you what I know, and would love to learn from those more experienced than me.

Jeff

Wish I was back in the area. I learned to sail at the BHSC back in the early 80’s on their Solings. I took all of their ASA courses and then had a Soling and Pearson 26 membership.

Sounds like they have updated the fleet.

Good luck!

Crew wanted salem to ptown

I am a member of Salem Willows Yach Club and I sail a Beneteau 32. I am participating in a race from Scituate to Ptown on Friday. My first mate got a family emergency so had to bail out. So I am looking for one crew. I am leaving this Thursday 6/23 from Salem Mass. and returning on Sunday 6/26. If you are interested, send me an email with your contact info. Note: I am new to sailnet so I can not send you pm.
Thanks
Pascal

Hi Jeff,

I saw your posting about a crew request.

I just started learning how to sail this summer at community boating on the Charles. I was also thinking about getting a membership at BHSC/taking their classes next year so it would be great if I could get some exposure to the club and its boats.

Let me know if you ever need crew.

Since I just created this account, I can't send you a PM. So just send me a PM with your contact info if you would like to get another crew member.

Boston Harbor Sailing

Hi
Would be happy to be an extra set of hands sailing out of Boston Sailing Center. I have been sailing for approx. 3 years with this year giving me the most time on the water. I sailed from Marblehead to Halifax, the coast of Maine- Bar Harbor to Booth Bay and racing out of Gloucester. I too am self employed. I am also scheduled to start a class at Boston Sailing Center 9-12.
Usually a couple of days notice is fine.
Hope to hear from you.
Best,
Maura
