Thumbs up

Please preserve the element of surprise for potential crew to make this opportunity really exciting and adventurous.

Under no circumstances should you reveal anything about yourself, your experience, your boat, your float plan, your equipment or provisions...

I am so sick of these well-qualified, competent captains bragging about their qualifications and sound vessels, their well-thought-out plans, and their appreciation for those who are willing to help them.

It is not like this is a public forum or something!

SVAuspicious will become famous soon enough
sailingcat: If you truly are interested in crew then you need to attract crew. You attract crew by presenting an appealing opportunity. That means some insight into the boat, its outfit, your schedule, your own experience, and other details that are relevant, in your case whether you plan to go outside or along the ICW.

You are unlikely to hear from anyone you might consider a "serious person" with a posting that lacks information such as your OP, especially since no one here knows you AND you are asking for shared expenses.

Good luck with your trip. If you do plan to go outside it should be a nice three-ish day trip on a reasonable boat.

If not, you can probably swing it yourself in a week to ten days on the ICW.

This reads suspiciously like our old friend Bartosz...man, you could not make it from Beaufort to P.R?

What are you doing in Savannah? Did you have to coastal hop for lack of crew?

"...under this username..." being the key phrase.

I am fairly certain this is the reincarnation of some prior troll, just trying to figure out which one.

Dear Sailingcat, can we take your refusal to provide any details about the trip to be an admission that either you are not competent to sail offshore or your boat is not prepared to sail offshore, or both?

I might be interested, but ya gotta give some more information. At least a date or timeframe would be a good start!
