Crew Wanted Bahamas to Puerto Rico

NEW ETD Exumas March 15th going direct to Puerto Rico.

I am an experienced sailor with over 100,000 miles mostly on large private yachts. My own boat is Misty Blue 50ft Gulfstar CSY Sloop. Aboard will be myself and friend Pam (inexperienced) in the aft cabin. There is a V double forward for crew who would like to come along and help. You need a bit of sailing experience, not get seasick, a passport, but most importantly a good attitude, willing to learn and have fun.

We will share food expenses. I’ll cover Fuel, dockage, cruising permits etc. You would need to get yourselves to the boat in George Town Bahamas.

I'm sailing Misty Blue around the Caribbean and across to Australia over the next 18 months. Cruising USVI's then direct to Grenada in May. Cruising West then through Panama canal November. Costa Rica, Cocos, Galapagos. ETA Marquesas June 1st. ETA Brisbane Oct 1st.

If you are interested add a reply and I’ll send you further details via email.

Re: Crew Wanted Bahamas to Puerto Rico

Dear Ashleigh
My ETD Exumas is now 15th March. I'm currently looking for crew who are interested in longer term or this next passage. Keep checking posts in May, I might ask for help getting to Granada from VI's.
Regards Ian

Re: Crew Wanted Bahamas to Puerto Rico

Hi Ian,
I am available March 19th until April 1st, would that fit into your schedule? I'm 26 and in good shape. I have sailing experience and would like to get some more coastal and long distance cruising time. Send me a PM please.

Re: Crew Wanted Bahamas to Puerto Rico

Hope you rcvd my bio:
sending it again just in case the first didn't go through:

want to Circumnavigate
________________________________________
Hello, I would like to circumnavigate. I live in Southern California and am a "California Girl", yes, long blonde hair, tall, thin, athletic, and often told I'm fun & very energetic. I raised a daughter as a single mom and successfully got her through private schools & college (graduated Magna Cum Laude in 3 years) and launched her into marriage 6 years ago. I have been looking for "the one" or a family needing additional experienced crew for nearly 5 years, but to no avail.
I am a very experienced international traveler (71 countries so far), and an experienced sailor (been racing for 12 years), including Transpac (2nd place), many Newport-Ensenada (2nd place), Border Run (1st place), Santa Barbara/King Harbor races (1st place). I am certified by Coast Guard Auxillary in Coastal Navigation & Advanced Coastal Navigation and took the Basic Sailing Class when I began sailing. I am presently in yacht sales and own & live aboard an Irwin 30.
Perhaps someone on this forum is looking or knows of someone in need of crew. I can be reached at krazykath28@gmail.com. Thank you to all who take the time to consider this.
Fair winds and following seas,
Kathy

Re: Crew Wanted Bahamas to Puerto Rico

I am a licensed captain trying to work my way back home to St. Thomas, I'll be bringing a sailboat down from Chesapeake Bay to Palm Beach starting perhaps next week and could join you just afterwards, whenever that is. Please call back soon outside the 'SailNet' system by email, thank you.
